Brits 2022 – oh what a night!

The team behind Molly Cotton had the chance to go to the Brits this year and take a peak at all the gorgeous outfits both on the red carpet and in the audience and we don’t mean just the VIP audience. It was a fashion feast for the eyes in every section of the O2.

On the red carpet there were cut-out fabrics like those modelled by Maya Jama and Ashley Roberts. There were plenty of zips on show, particularly Anne-Marie’s gorgeous leather looking zipped front, fitted jacket with shoulder pads. Little Simz also went for a leather jacket but hers was vintage. Olivia Rodrigo looked amazing in a long silver glittery gown which featured thin straps and a cowl neck.

The men’s fashion didn’t disappoint either with Ed Sheeran in a royal blue velvet. Tom Daley was rocking his own look in Louis Vuitton and KSI absolutely nailing a Prada suit with chest straps and purple gloves. Idris Elba was working a Gucci pink leather varsity jacket when presenting an award to Adele. There was one question we would all like answering though – why was Idris wearing sunglasses inside?

While Maneskin worked European style PVC trousers for the boys, and a PVC jumpsuit for the lady of the group, together with Showaddywaddy style jackets that were so striking, the outfits should have their own insta account.

In the audience we had plenty of sequins and leather look trousers, skirts and shackets. An abundance of gorgeous satin cowl neck dresses in shades of bottle green and bronze, off the shoulder body con dresses, polished off with a chunky knit cardi or two. Tweed shackets were a big hit, but big chunky boots were star of the audience outfits. They finished off each outfit, which is probably a good thing as it is highly likely that for some, particularly those who had drank one too many, those boots were the only thing keeping their feet firmly planted on the ground and in the upright position.
